Jonathan Yen’s narration is nothing short of extraordinary; his deep, resonant voice perfectly complements the intensity of Col. Curtis's experiences. The audiobook begins with an urgency that mirrors the tense moments leading up to Curtis’s capture and never lets go. Each chapter reveals new layers of character and context, making the listener feel as if they are right there with Curtis in captivity. However, the pacing occasionally falters during some of the more technical details about his escape plans, which could have been smoother. Despite this minor critique, Under the Cover of Light is a profound exploration that will keep you captivated from start to finish.
