You Get What You Pay For

As an avid listener, I found Morgan Parker's narration to be nothing short of brilliant. Her voice carries the weight of her experiences and emotions, creating a deeply immersive atmosphere that makes every essay feel like a conversation between friends. The stories are vividly told, capturing both the joyous highs and the difficult lows of Black womanhood. While some may find certain segments heavy, they are essential for understanding the complexity of Parker's journey. My only critique is that the pacing at times feels rushed, which could benefit from a bit more space to breathe between pieces. Nonetheless, this audiobook is an incredible blend of storytelling and social commentary that I highly recommend.
