AudioBook Atlas

As I immersed myself in Funny Girl, I found myself completely captivated by the world and the characters Nick Hornby has created. Emma Fielding's narration is outstanding, bringing each character to life with impeccable timing and emotion. I particularly enjoyed the way Fielding portrayed Sophie's evolving confidence and charisma as she navigated the twists and turns of her journey. The pacing of the story is well-balanced, allowing for a perfect blend of humor and heartache. However, I did find some of the secondary characters to be less developed, which occasionally distracted from the overall narrative. Nevertheless, Funny Girl remains a compelling and enjoyable listen that I would highly recommend to fans of literary fiction and 1960s period pieces.
