I finished *Good Morning, Holy Spirit* in one sitting, and I still feel the aftershocks. William Crockett’s narration is a masterclass in restraint and intensity—his voice never sounds performative, even when the moments verge on the supernatural. He sounds like a man who’s been in the room when the Holy Spirit showed up, and that authenticity seeps into your bones. Hinn’s story, though, isn’t for the faint of heart. His description of being ‘baptized’ in the Spirit reads less like a gentle awakening and more like a divine lightning strike, complete with uncontrollable laughter and what sounds like an actual voice speaking in his mind. If you’re skeptical of charismatic Christianity, some passages might raise your eyebrows—Hinn’s account of healing the blind or raising the dead from Scripture feels like he’s reading the Bible in a different key. That said, Crockett’s delivery sells the wonder of it all, even if you’re not sold on the theology. My only gripe? The production occasionally swells with a too-reverb-y echo during the most intense moments, which jars against the otherwise intimate, conversational tone. But that’s minor.
