As someone who's a fan of both romance and paranormal stories, I was immediately drawn to Grave Promise by D.D. Miers. Krys Janae's narration adds an extra layer of excitement and engagement, and her ability to convey the characters' emotions and the tension in the story made me feel like I was right there with Vexa as she navigated her supernatural abilities. The pacing is well-done, with moments of humor and suspense that keep the story moving forward. My only critique would be that some of the more technical aspects of Vexa's necromancy powers could have been explained in more detail to give listeners a better understanding of the magic system. Overall, though, Grave Promise is a must-listen for fans of paranormal romance and a great addition to any audiobook collection.
