Editor's Review

AudioBook Atlas

I devoured Green City Wars, drawn in by the intricate world-building and Pirhalla's compelling narration. The story's complex web of characters and plot threads is expertly woven, with a narrative that's both propulsive and nuanced. One minor quibble: some of the supporting characters feel a bit underdeveloped, and a few of the plot reveals feel slightly predictable. However, these are minor complaints in an otherwise engrossing listen. Pirhalla's performance is superb, bringing the gritty undercity to life with his gritty, hard-boiled tone. My only major criticism is that the production could benefit from a more nuanced sound design, as some of the more intense scenes feel a bit samey. Overall, though, Green City Wars is a gripping, thought-provoking listen that's sure to appeal to fans of urban fantasy and noir.
