Grim

I found myself utterly engrossed in ‘Grim’ from start to finish. The narration by Maxine Mitchell and her co-stars is nothing short of exceptional. Each reader brought their own flair and intensity, which was particularly effective when Kane Deveraux’s smugness was matched with the protagonist's determination. However, the pacing at times felt a bit rushed, making some of the slower moments feel slightly jarring. Nevertheless, this audiobook excels in creating an eerie atmosphere that will have you listening late into the night. The dynamic between the characters is well-balanced and adds to the tension, making it hard to put down once you start. With its mix of horror and romance, ‘Grim’ offers a unique take on Gothic literature that definitely stands out.
