As someone who loves a good action-adventure with a healthy dose of romance, Heir of Shadows was an absolute treat. Matt Haynes' narration is nothing short of outstanding. His ability to capture Blake's raw, visceral emotions and translate them into a voice that's both commanding and vulnerable is a true testament to his talent. The pacing of the story is spot on, never lingering too long on any one element, keeping the tension high and the pages turning. My only critique is that I wish we'd gotten a bit more depth into the secondary characters, but that's a small price to pay for an otherwise thrilling listen.
