Heretic

As an editor, I was struck by the way Andrew Cullum brings Bernard Cornwell's vivid characters and settings to life with his smooth, measured tone. His voice is the perfect match for this epic tale of medieval adventure, conveying the sense of urgency and danger that drives our protagonist forward. Where the story truly shines is in its nuanced portrayal of the complexities of faith and morality, as our hero grapples with the possibility of the Holy Grail's existence. One minor quibble I had was with the pacing in the second half of the book, where the plot threads felt slightly disjointed and the tension slackened for a few chapters. However, this is a minor complaint in an otherwise engrossing and expertly crafted audiobook. Overall, I highly recommend Heretic to fans of historical fiction and adventure, who will find themselves swept up in this compelling and well-researched tale.
