I’ve listened to a *lot* of trading audiobooks, and most fall into two camps: either they’re so abstract they’re useless, or they’re so hyper-specific they’re obsolete by Chapter 3. *High Probability Trading* avoids both traps. Link’s approach is refreshingly pragmatic—he doesn’t promise you’ll quit your job in six months, but he *does* give you a framework to stop hemorrhaging money on emotional trades. The standout section? His breakdown of "expectancy" (a math-based way to evaluate if your strategy is actually profitable long-term), which he explains with such clarity that I paused to rewind and take notes. That’s rare in this genre. Ric Chetter’s narration is a masterclass in making technical content digestible. He avoids the robotic monotone some finance narrators default to, but he also doesn’t overperform—no dramatic pauses where they don’t belong. My only critique: the production occasionally suffers from slight audio compression, making some of the chart references (e.g., "the 200-day moving average crossover") harder to visualize without the PDF companion. And while Link’s risk management rules are gold, his insistence on *never* averaging down feels dogmatic—even he admits exceptions exist, but the audiobook’s format doesn’t leave room for nuance. Still, if you’re tired of trading books that read like infomercials, this is the antidote. Just don’t expect hand-holding; Link’s tone is more drill sergeant than cheerleader, and that’s why it works.
