How to Bite Your Neighbor and Win a Wager

I went into 'How to Bite Your Neighbor and Win a Wager' expecting a typical paranormal romance, but what I got was a rich, nuanced exploration of power, desire, and identity. Simon Dornet's narration is pitch-perfect, bringing a depth and vulnerability to Vincent that makes it impossible not to become invested in their story. One of the things that really stood out to me was the way Bryn explores the complexities of Vincent's relationships – particularly the forbidden desire that develops between them and their neighbor. It's a slow-burn that's both tantalizing and heartbreaking, and Dornet's delivery perfectly captures the tension and longing. If I have any criticisms, it's that the supporting cast can feel a bit one-dimensional at times. Some of the secondary characters feel more like archetypes than fully fleshed-out individuals, which can make it hard to become fully invested in their stories. However, this is a minor quibble in an otherwise outstanding audiobook – and one that's definitely worth your time if you're looking for a romance that's a little darker, a little more complex, and a lot more compelling.
