Listening to 'In the Heir' is like being on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Teri Clark Linden's narration is a standout feature, her ability to switch between characters and capture their essence seamlessly. She brings a certain gravitas to Brett's character, making his struggles feel real and relatable. The pacing is spot on, building tension and releasing it at just the right moments. I found myself completely invested in Brett's journey, rooting for him even when he made mistakes. My only critique is that some secondary characters felt a bit one-dimensional, but that's a minor quibble in an otherwise engaging listen.
