I didn’t expect to love *Indulge* this much. From the first chapter, Bella King’s voice—both literal and metaphorical—slapped me awake and refused to let go. Rivers’ narration is a masterclass in delivering a heroine who’s equal parts vulnerable and vicious; she makes Bella’s internal monologues feel like whispered confessions and her fight scenes sound like a war cry. MacLeod, meanwhile, steals every scene he’s in, whether he’s oozing charm or radiating barely contained fury. The chemistry between them is electric, and their pacing ensures the romance never overshadows the revenge plot. That said, the audiobook isn’t perfect. At 12 hours, it’s a marathon, and by the final act, I craved a moment of breath—some emotional respite before the next explosive twist. The love scenes also verge on *too* steamy at times, leaving little to the imagination and risking tonal whiplash with the surrounding grit. But those are minor quibbles. *Indulge* delivers exactly what it promises: a heroine who refuses to be tamed, a plot that thrills from start to finish, and a narration team that sells both the danger and the desire. If you’re here for flawed, fascinating women and men who can’t decide if they want to fight her or worship her, this is your audiobook.
