As an editor, I was struck by the way Missal masterfully wove historical facts with fictional elements, creating a rich tapestry that transported me to the banks of the Ganga. Sodhi's narration brought the story to life, and I found myself swept up in the battles, the romance, and the drama of Vasu's life. One of the standout aspects of the audiobook was the way Sodhi handled the character of Karna's half-brother, Duryodhana - his voice conveyed the complexity and nuance of the character, making him almost relatable. My only critique would be that some of the supporting characters felt a bit one-dimensional, but this is a minor quibble in an otherwise engaging listen.
