I was drawn into 'La Biblia de los Caídos' from the very first chapter, thanks in large part to Pau Ferrer's exceptional narration. His ability to switch between accents and tones to distinguish characters is impressive, and his pacing is spot on, ratcheting up tension at just the right moments. The story itself is a compelling mix of ancient Egyptian lore and contemporary crime, with a healthy dose of political intrigue thrown in. My only critique is that some of the historical detail can feel a bit heavy at times, but it's a small price to pay for such a richly textured narrative. Overall, this is a thrilling listen that's perfect for fans of Dan Brown and James Rollins.
