About This Audiobook

In 'Lancelot', Giles Kristian masterfully breathes new life into the Arthurian legend, delivering a gripping, visceral tale that feels as raw and immediate as a historical drama. This is no sanitized, chivalrous Camelot; instead, we're plunged into a brutal, war-torn Britain, where survival is a daily struggle. Kristian's prose is muscular and evocative, painting vivid landscapes and battle scenes that'll leave you breathless. Philip Stevens' narration is a standout feature, bringing a gritty, authentic edge to the story. His ability to convey the emotional depth of characters, from the young, vulnerable Lancelot to the towering, enigmatic Arthur, is truly impressive.

Editor's Review ★★★★☆

AudioBook Atlas

Listening to 'Lancelot' is like being swept up in an epic, cinematic saga. Stevens' narration is nothing short of outstanding, his ability to differentiate characters and convey emotion making each listening session a compelling experience. Kristian's storytelling is taut and engaging, expertly balancing action, intrigue, and character development. The pacing is excellent, with tense, heart-pounding battle scenes interspersed with quieter moments of introspection and relationship-building. If I have one critique, it's that some of the supporting characters could have been more fully developed. But this is a minor quibble in an otherwise outstanding audiobook. If you're a fan of gritty historical fiction, dark fantasy, or just a good, old-fashioned adventure, 'Lancelot' is a must-listen.
