Le Crime du paradis

As I found myself engrossed in Le Crime du paradis, I was struck by how Musso manages to create such a compelling narrative despite the story's slow-burning nature. While the initial setup might feel a tad too idyllic, it's precisely this sense of tranquility that makes the subsequent twists and turns all the more shocking. Rémi Bichet's narration is a significant factor in this audiobook's success. His ability to convey the nuances of each character's emotions and motivations is truly impressive, making it easy to become invested in their fates. However, I must admit that the story's reliance on a few convenient plot twists did occasionally strain my suspension of disbelief. Nevertheless, this is a minor quibble in an otherwise engaging and thought-provoking listen that will leave you questioning the true nature of paradise.
