Editor's Review ★★★★☆

AudioBook Atlas

I was swept up in the sonic majesty of Le due città, Cecchini's nuanced performance bringing a new depth to Dickens' iconic characters. The narrator's subtlety is particularly evident in her portrayal of Lucie Manette, whose gentle spirit serves as a counterpoint to the revolution's violent fervor. If I have a quibble, it's that some of the supporting characters feel slightly underdeveloped - but this is a minor complaint in an otherwise outstanding production. The pacing is expertly handled, with Cecchini deftly juggling the narrative's multiple plot threads to create a seamless listening experience. My only other criticism is that the audiobook could benefit from a more detailed narrator's introduction to help listeners unfamiliar with the story. Still, this is a minor nitpick in an otherwise superb adaptation that I highly recommend.
