I devoured Le Miroir brisé in a single sitting, drawn in by Penny Coyne's inimitable voice and the intricate mystery unfolding around her. Jérôme Fonlupt's narration is superb, capturing the subtleties of Penny's character and the dry humor that permeates the story. The pacing is well-balanced, with a narrative that flows effortlessly between humor, suspense, and insight into the human condition. My only quibble is that some of the supporting characters feel a tad underdeveloped, and the production could have benefited from a more nuanced sound design to enhance the atmosphere. Nonetheless, this is a compelling and entertaining listen that will appeal to fans of clever, character-driven mysteries.
