Lido Land

As someone who's always been drawn to the simple pleasures of a day at the beach, I found 'Lido Land' to be an absolute delight. Fort's writing is like a warm summer's breeze, effortlessly carrying you from one fascinating story to the next. Sengelow's narration is the perfect complement, his voice capturing the joy and nostalgia that Fort's words evoke. The pacing is spot on, with each chapter feeling like a self-contained story that builds on the last. My only critique is that I wish there were more personal anecdotes from Fort himself, as his enthusiasm for the subject is infectious. But that's a minor quibble in an otherwise excellent audiobook. If you've ever felt a sense of longing for the simple pleasures of the past, 'Lido Land' is the perfect way to spend a few hours by the virtual seaside.
