Beth Roeg’s narration is the cherry on top of an already delicious sundae. Her voice is warm and honeyed, with a playful lilt that sells the humor and a deep, velvety drawl when the stakes get serious—because in Long Valley, even a love triangle feels like a rodeo. She nails the cadence of small-town Wyoming, making every cowboy’s growl sound authentic and every heroine’s sass sparkle. My favorite performance comes in *Lone Star Lies*, where Roeg’s timing for the banter between a sharp-tongued schoolteacher and a reformed outlaw had me cackling like a hyena. That said, a couple of stories dragged in the middle, leaving me checking my watch more than once—Wright’s pacing isn’t always consistent, and some emotional climaxes felt rushed. The production is otherwise crisp, with no distracting mouth clicks or volume drops, though I wished the closing credits had a little more fade-out pizzazz. Still, Roeg’s charm and Wright’s bold romances make this a binge-worthy ride through a land where love and lassoes go hand in hand.
