I went into Marked expecting another glossy enemies-to-lovers setup, but what I got was a taut, emotionally charged power play that actually surprised me. Lucy Rivers voices the female lead with a grounded resilience that makes her feel real—not just another 'strong heroine' trope. She doesn’t over-dramatize; she underplays in the best way, letting the weight of each decision land quietly but heavily. Shane East, on the other hand, doesn’t just play the brooding billionaire—he gives him layers of restraint and regret that make his slow thaw genuinely satisfying. That said, the middle section drags slightly under the weight of too many secondary power players—some of whom blur together without visual cues. And while the final act delivers on both romance and suspense, one twist feels rushed, as if the narrative suddenly remembered it had to wrap up.
