Tom Taylorson’s Captain America has the gravitas of a man carrying the weight of a nation’s expectations, while Bradford Hastings nails Tony Stark’s chipper arrogance, making their ideological clash feel like a Shakespearean tragedy wrapped in spandex. MacLeod Andrews’ Iron Man narration is a standout, his diction sharp enough to cut through the chaos of a battle sequence but smooth enough to sell Stark’s playboy charm. My biggest critique? The pacing stumbles slightly in the middle act, where some character moments drag longer than they should. And while the production is clean, a few audio glitches (like sudden volume drops during action scenes) made me question whether this was a recording quirk or a mastering oversight. Still, those were minor hurdles in an otherwise immersive experience. The real draw here is how these novels flesh out the grey areas between heroism and tyranny—something the MCU only scratched the surface of.
