I dove headfirst into Mason, and I'm still reeling from the experience. Tylor Kelley's narration is truly exceptional, and the way he brings Toni Goode's characters to life is nothing short of magical. The pacing is well-balanced, hurtling through moments of intense passion and quiet introspection with equal ease. One of the standout aspects of the story is its exploration of the mystical connections that tie the characters together. It's a bold narrative choice that pays off in spades, adding a layer of depth to the romance that's both captivating and thought-provoking. That being said, I did feel that some of the supporting characters could have benefited from a bit more development. At times, it felt like they existed primarily to advance the plot or facilitate Mason's relationship with the female lead. It's a minor quibble, but one that took me out of the story on occasion. Overall, however, Mason is a compelling and engaging listen that I highly recommend to fans of historical fiction and romance.
