I was thoroughly engrossed in 'More Than a Pretty Face', largely due to Stevie Zimmerman's masterful narration. Her ability to convey the subtleties of the characters' emotions added layers to the story, making it feel richer and more immersive. The pacing was well-balanced, allowing the listener to absorb the historical context and the protagonist's personal struggles. One area where the production could improve is in the transitions between scenes; occasionally, the shift in tone or setting felt a bit abrupt. Additionally, some of the supporting characters could have benefited from more distinct characterization. Nonetheless, the narrative's thoughtful exploration of themes such as societal beauty standards and personal identity resonated deeply, making this audiobook a compelling listen.
