Editor's Review ★★★★☆

AudioBook Atlas

As an avid fan of historical fiction, I was drawn to Murder Makes Waves for its unique blend of mystery, romance, and social commentary. Ruth Ann Phimister's narration is outstanding – she has a way of bringing the characters to life with her soothing voice and impeccable timing. I particularly enjoyed the way Phimister handled the sisters' banter and dynamic, which added a delightful touch of humor to the story. While I appreciated the narrative's focus on female friendships, I found the pacing to be slightly uneven in places. At times, the story felt a tad rushed, with certain plot threads resolved a bit too conveniently. However, these minor quibbles did little to detract from my overall enjoyment of the audiobook. In fact, the murder mystery itself was engaging and suspenseful, with plenty of twists and turns to keep me guessing until the very end. Overall, I highly recommend Murder Makes Waves to anyone looking for a charming and engaging listen.
