AudioBook Atlas

I went into Nightshade expecting a historical romance, but what I got was a complex, gothic tale that blurred the lines between good and evil. The dual-narration style, handled by Islay Jacobs and Ryan West, adds depth to the story, making it feel even more intimate and personal. Jacobs brings a sense of vulnerability to Ashwood's character, while West's narration brings a sense of gravitas to the mysterious, enigmatic figure of Elijah. One aspect of the story that didn't quite land for me was the pacing, which felt a bit uneven at times. The transitions between scenes could be smoother, and a few plot threads felt a bit rushed. However, these minor quibbles are easily forgiven in the face of the audiobook's many strengths. Overall, I devoured Nightshade in just a few sittings, and I'm still reeling from the experience. If you're a fan of atmospheric historical fiction with a touch of the paranormal, you won't want to miss this one.
