David Piper's narration is nothing short of spellbinding. He masterfully weaves through the complex tapestry of Norse myths, making even the most intricate stories accessible and engaging. The pacing is spot-on, building suspense and excitement, much like the ancient bards would have done around the mead-hall fire. I particularly enjoyed Piper's interpretation of the Norns, their voices echoing through the audio like a haunting prophecy. However, some listeners might find the detailed explanations of runes and their meanings a bit dry, but they're worth persevering through for the wealth of knowledge they provide.
