Em’s voice is lighter, brimming with sharp-edged charm that balances Andre’s darker tones—think Annie Lennox duetting with a demonic bluesman. The production never muffles the chemistry, though the opening credits feel a beat too polished, like a soundcheck cut short. Pinkins sells the supernatural tension without overdoing the creep factor; you believe Em’s fear the first time a shadow stretches unnaturally long. Pacing zips along, but the emotional payoff lands harder than the monster reveal—sometimes a little abrupt, but who cares when the chemistry’s this electric? A few more slow-burn moments might’ve deepened the stakes, but Rudolph’s dialogue punches so hard you won’t notice the gaps.
