The narration by Tim Alexander is a standout: his tone is conversational yet precise, avoiding the robotic cadence that plagues many finance audiobooks. When he slows down for critical sections (like adjusting losing trades), it feels intentional, not patronizing. That said, this isn’t a hand-holding guide for absolute novices. Gastrell assumes you grasp basics like calls/puts and market orders, so if you’re starting from zero, you might need a primer first. My other quibble? The production occasionally suffers from slight volume inconsistencies—nothing deal-breaking, but noticeable during transitions between sections. Still, the tradeoffs are worth it. The chapter on ‘psychology of options traders’ alone (often glossed over in other books) justifies the listen, blending behavioral finance with tactical advice in a way that’s rare in this genre. For traders tired of vague ‘buy low, sell high’ platitudes, this is the antidote.
