Editor's Review ★★★★☆

AudioBook Atlas

As I dove into People of the Forest, I found myself completely immersed in the world that David Thompson has crafted. The story, while familiar in its Western setting, takes a unique turn as Nate King navigates the complexities of living among a hostile Indian tribe. Rusty Nelson's narration is top-notch, with a voice that evokes the ruggedness of the frontier while still allowing the characters' emotions to shine through. However, I did find that the pacing occasionally lagged in the middle of the audiobook, and some of the secondary characters felt underdeveloped. But these are minor quibbles in an otherwise captivating listen. If you're a fan of Westerns with a twist, People of the Forest is well worth your time.
