Petite

I was drawn into 'Petite' from the start, thanks to Ana Piévic's expressive narration, which perfectly captures the protagonist's vulnerability and determination. Carey's writing is vivid and immersive, conjuring the eerie atmosphere of the waxworks and the turbulent world of Revolutionary France. The pacing is well-balanced, although some scenes feel a tad rushed. One minor quibble is that the supporting characters sometimes feel underdeveloped, but this is a small price to pay for the rich, detailed world-building. Overall, 'Petite' is a compelling and unsettling listen that will appeal to fans of historical fiction and dark fantasy.
