I was drawn into 'Play My Game' from the very first sentence, thanks to the enticing narration duo of Maxine Mitchell and Eric Michael Summerer. Mitchell's voice is like velvet, perfectly suited to the innocent yet fiery heroine, while Summerer's deep, gravelly tone is the embodiment of the dark, brooding Jared Rush. The chemistry between them is palpable, even in the audio format. The story itself is a captivating dance of power and desire, set against the vibrant backdrop of the art world. However, I found the pacing a tad too fast in places, which sometimes made the dialogue feel rushed. Despite this minor critique, the audiobook is a thrilling listen that left me eager for more from this author and narrator pair.
