As a fan of romantic suspense, I was hooked from the start. Edwards' writing is engaging, with just the right amount of tension and chemistry to keep you invested. Thatcher and Cassidy's narration is a standout feature. Thatcher's Kennedy is strong yet relatable, while Cassidy's Tucker is the epitome of a swoon-worthy hero. The banter between them is delightful, and their chemistry is palpable, even when they're at odds. The pacing is excellent, with a good balance of dialogue, action, and introspection. My only minor critique is that the villain's motivations could have been a bit more nuanced, but it's a small quibble in an otherwise enjoyable listen.
