I went into *Powerless* expecting another tired sci-fi romance, but Ash and her narrators flipped the script entirely. Keira Stevens and Troy Duran don’t just read the lines—they embody them. Stevens’ voice is a weapon, dripping with sarcasm and survival instinct, while Duran’s low, rumbling tones make every growled line feel like a threat (or a promise). Their chemistry is electric, especially in scenes where power shifts like quicksand, leaving you breathless. The plot isn’t subtle—it’s a pressure cooker of betrayal, heat, and adrenaline—but that’s what makes it work. Ash doesn’t waste time on exposition; she drops you into the Steel Demons’ mess and lets you drown in it, trusting you to keep up. Pacing is tight, with no filler, though a few secondary characters blur together in the chaos. The production is clean, with no audible distractions, and the emotional gut-punches land exactly where they should. My only real critique?
