I was blown away by the narration in Protect. Gideon Frost and Samantha Brentmoor have a chemistry that's palpable, making the romantic tension between the two main characters feel electric. Frost's deep, gravelly voice is the perfect fit for the rugged, alpha male lead, while Brentmoor's warm, expressive tone brings a softness and vulnerability to the heroine that's incredibly endearing. The pacing of the story is spot on, with the action and emotion ebbing and flowing in a way that keeps you completely engaged. My only critique is that the ending felt a bit rushed, but even that couldn't detract from the overall enjoyment of the story. If you're a fan of romance novels with a bit of an edge, this one is a must-listen.
