I was immediately drawn into Protect Me's fast-paced plot and the intriguing dynamic between the protagonist and the three shifter men who offer her protection. The narration is top-notch, with Maddux and Rivers working seamlessly together to create a immersive listening experience. While the story can be a bit predictable at times, with some tropes that fantasy romance fans may have encountered before, the chemistry between the characters and the unique shifter society more than make up for it. The pacing is excellent, with the right balance of action, romance, and world-building. The production quality is also commendable, with clear audio and no distracting background noise. My only minor critique would be that some of the secondary characters could have been more fully developed, but overall, Protect Me is a captivating listen that I would highly recommend to fans of fantasy romance and paranormal shifter stories.
