Grace, meanwhile, is the kind of prickly, self-sabotaging heroine who’d normally frustrate me, but Slade (and Liberatori’s dry delivery) makes her hypocrisy *funny*—like when she lectures Henry about emotional honesty while hiding her own secrets in passive-aggressive voicemails. The narration is *exceptional* in its physicality. Liberatori doesn’t just change her voice for dialogue; she changes her *breathing*. You can hear Grace’s held-back tears in the way her sentences fracture, or Henry’s forced nonchalance in how he swallows his words. My only critique? The middle act drags slightly with repetitive arguments about ‘what went wrong,’ though Slade redeems it with a third-act twist that’s both inevitable and gutting. And while the Tuscan vineyard scenes are lush, the audio mixing occasionally drowns out Liberatori’s softer lines under ambient noise—annoying when you’re invested in every nuance. Still, this is a romantic comedy for people who’ve ever Googled an ex at 2 a.m., and it’s *brutal* in the best way.
