Red Nails

Gregg Margarite's narration is the star of the show here. His gruff, no-nonsense delivery is perfect for Conan, and he brings a welcome sense of urgency to the proceedings. The story itself is a bit of a slow burn, with much of the action happening in the latter half, but when it does, it's brutal and satisfying. Howard's descriptions of the ancient city and its inhabitants are vivid and unsettling, painting a picture that's as memorable as it is disturbing. My only critique is that some of the supporting characters could have used more distinction in their voices, but that's a minor quibble in an otherwise excellent audiobook.
