Ruin

I was drawn into 'Ruin' like a moth to a flame, watching Frank's life unravel with a mixture of horror and fascination. Seippel's storytelling is as precise as a scalpel, each chapter a step further into the abyss. Andersen's narration is exceptional, his voice capturing Frank's introspection and despair with a depth that's almost palpable. The pacing is relentless, yet Seippel finds moments of quiet reflection that make the tension all the more unbearable. My only critique is that I wished for a little more redemption at the end, but perhaps that's the point - there are no happy endings when you've made a deal with the devil. This is literary fiction at its most unflinching, a must-listen for fans of dark, thought-provoking tales.
