I devoured 'Running from the Law' in a single weekend, drawn in by Jennifer Grace's warm and engaging narration. Albright's writing is evocative and immersive, conjuring the sun-baked landscapes of Texas and the glamour of Hollywood with equal ease. One of the standout aspects of the story is its thoughtful exploration of Charlie's complicated past and her struggles to find a sense of belonging. If I have any quibbles, it's that some of the supporting characters feel a bit underdeveloped, and the pacing can slow in the middle sections. However, these are minor complaints in an otherwise engaging and well-crafted audiobook.
