I went into *Running Home to You* expecting a cute romance with a softball backdrop, but Saldivar gave me a story that made me care about RBI percentages as much as I cared about the relationship unfolding between Abby and Dani. Naudus’ performance is a masterclass in contrast: her voice for Abby is brash and full of sass, while Dani’s comes across as carefully guarded, like she’s afraid to let anyone see the cracks in her armor. The audiobook shines in the dialogue-heavy scenes, where Naudus nails the rhythm of their arguments—snappy, loaded with subtext, and often hilarious. That said, the middle act drags a bit when the focus shifts to side characters, and the resolution, while satisfying, feels a touch too tidy given the emotional wreckage left behind earlier.
