First, the chapter on solar power skims surface-level benefits and dives abruptly into amperage tables that feel like a crash course in electrical engineering—helpful, but only if you already know what a “deep cycle” battery does. Second, Ruell’s bias toward Class A motorhomes occasionally bleeds into the text; if you’re eyeing a teardrop or a van conversion, you’ll have to mentally translate a lot of his advice. Still, these flaws are minor compared to the book’s core gift: it turns vague RV fantasies into a concrete plan. By the final chapter, I wasn’t just dreaming about hitting the road—I was calculating tank capacities and researching campground apps. Plank’s narration made me believe I could actually do this.
