His Shane is all rumbling bass and easy charm, while Margaret’s snarky, conflicted tone lands perfectly. The pacing is snappy, which is great for a story this length, though I did wish Shannan had spent a little more time fleshing out the secondary characters—Margaret’s pack felt like a cardboard cutout compared to the fiery dynamic between her and Shane. The production is clean, with no distracting glitches, and the intimate narration style makes it easy to lose yourself in the story. My only real critique is the lack of world-building outside the main romance; if you’re a fan of deep lore, you might feel a little shortchanged. That said, the chemistry between Margaret and Shane is electric, and their banter alone makes this worth the listen.
