As an audiobook editor, I was thoroughly charmed by Gonzalo Durán's nuanced performance in Sed. His measured pace and warm tone create a sense of calm, making it easy to become fully absorbed in Nothomb's world. One of the standout features of this audiobook is its imaginative reinterpretation of the sacred texts – Nothomb's writing is both playful and profound, offering new insights into the human condition. If I have one quibble, it's that the pacing sometimes feels a tad uneven, particularly in the later chapters. However, this is a minor complaint in an otherwise exemplary production.
