Editor's Review ★★★★☆

AudioBook Atlas

As an audiobook editor, I was blown away by the sheer scope of Moning's world-building and the way the dual narration brought the characters to life. Ross and Gigante's performances are pitch-perfect, with a clear understanding of the characters' emotional arcs. The pacing is expertly handled, with a balance of action, suspense, and romance that will keep listeners hooked. My one critique would be that, at times, the story feels a bit overstuffed, with multiple plot threads competing for attention. Additionally, I found some of the supporting characters to be a bit one-dimensional, particularly MacKayla's adoptive family. However, these minor quibbles are far outweighed by the book's many strengths, and I have no hesitation in recommending Shadowfever to fans of fantasy, romance, and strong female protagonists.
