I picked up 'Sinai to Zion' hoping for a compelling look at the Exodus through a Christ-centered lens, and Jeremiah Gruenberg's performance only elevated that expectation. Richardson has a knack for taking well-worn passages and showing their breathtaking significance for understanding who Jesus is, echoing the Reformation emphasis on Scripture's unity. Listening to him weave the themes of slavery, bitter waters, and manna into the tapestry of salvation felt like rediscovering the Bible's own storyline—truly from Genesis to Revelation with Christ at the center. Gruenberg's narration is exceptional, clear and resonant, perfectly modulating his voice to emphasize key points without being overly theatrical. He keeps the listener engaged throughout the audiobook's lengthy duration, making 13 hours fly by as I absorbed the material.
