As a long-time fan of Jan Karon's Mitford series, I was thrilled to dive back into this cozy world with 'Somewhere Safe with Somebody Good'. John McDonough's narration is a perfect fit, his voice warm and inviting, much like Father Tim himself. He expertly handles the diverse cast of characters, each with their distinct voices and personalities. The pacing is steady, allowing the story to unfold naturally, with just the right amount of suspense to keep you engaged. However, I must admit, I found the resolution of one particular subplot a tad too neat, but that's a minor quibble in an otherwise satisfying listen. This audiobook is a wonderful choice for those seeking a comforting, engaging story that feels like a warm hug on a cold day.
