Editor's Review ★★★★★

AudioBook Atlas

I was thoroughly engrossed in 'Staline 2' from start to finish. Eric Herson-Macarel's narration is superb, conveying the complexity and menace of Stalin's character with ease. The pacing is well-balanced, moving seamlessly between historical context and personal anecdote. One of the standout features of this audiobook is its use of archival material to shed new light on Stalin's regime. My only criticism is that some of the more minor historical figures could have been introduced with a bit more context, and on occasion, the narration feels slightly rushed. Overall, however, this is a gripping and informative listen that I would highly recommend to anyone interested in Soviet history.
