Stuart Blinder’s narration is the secret weapon here; his voice carries the gravitas of a seasoned storyteller, shifting seamlessly between campfire warmth and outright menace. He nails the cadence of a grizzled spacer recounting a cautionary tale, and his delivery of the titular *Dark Legends*—a chilling story about a cursed Sith artifact—left me equal parts thrilled and unsettled. The sound design deserves high praise too; the subtle use of ambient noise (think distant TIE fighter hums morphing into howling winds) immerses you in each tale without overwhelming the stories themselves. That said, there were a couple of moments where the transitions between stories felt a tad abrupt, like a hyperspace jump that didn’t quite sync up. And while the production is stellar, the shorter stories in the middle of the collection risked feeling rushed, as if the collection was padding its runtime. Still, these are minor quibbles in an otherwise stellar listening experience.
